Tanzanian Peaberry

A peaberry is when the two beans within a coffee berry (cherry) do not split, and then grow into a single bean. This delicious defect occurs in about 5% of Tanzanian coffee beans. Each one of these beans must be removed by hand! These beans then go through further grading before they are bagged and finally sent off to eager roasters. Quite the journey!       Our Tanzania Peaberry coffee is characterized by a mild acidity and rich body with an intense and fragrant aroma and flavor. Mellow winy overtones. This is another of our favorite low acid coffees.
